Transfer: I’ve seen him score goals – Darren Bent tells Arsenal player to sign instead of Jesus

Former Aston Villa attacker, Darren Bent has revealed that he would rather have Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku at Arsenal than Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.

Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Jesus this summer, while Lukaku is set to leave Chelsea on loan to join Inter Milan.

But Bent believes Lukaku would be a great addition to the Arsenal squad than Jesus, adding that he has seen the Belgium international score goals.

Speaking on TalkSPORT, Bent said, “I would take Lukaku at Arsenal 100%. I would be over the moon if we got Lukaku. I look at Lukaku and I think he wants to go somewhere where he feels most loved. He scored a lot of goals at Inter [in 2020-2021] and felt real passion from the fans. The fact he is taking a pay cut, it feels like he cannot wait to get out of this country quick enough.”

When asked whether he would take Lukaku or Jesus at the Emirates Stadium, Bent added: “I’d rather Lukaku. I’ve seen him score goals. He’s in the 100 club.”
