When Tiwatope Savage came into Naija music, little was known about her.
She, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress who began her music career doing backup vocals for artists such as George Michael and Mary J. Blige.
She also graduated from Berklee College of Music having participated in the UK edition of The X Factor
She came into the industry that was saturated by so many male artists and rappers. These rappers include female folks in Sasha P, Kel, Bouqui, Eva who were ruling the airwaves.
Tiwa signed pitched her tent with Mavin Records.
Tiwatope studied the industries so well that she knew what she wanted and went for it.
Instead of adding up the number female rappers, she opted to do an afro-pop with the help of a seasoned producer in Don Jazzy. The rest is the success story of Tiwatope.Â
In the midst of the trouble rocked her marriage with Teebliz, she never gave up but rather became so strong and resilient.

Also contributing immensely to the Nigerian music has earned her so much and her involvement in youth empowerment and breast cancer screening projects and has raised funds to build schools in Nigeria.Â
