Abubakar Malami, minister of justice and attorney-general of the federation (AGF), has recommended the sack of Ibrahim Magu, acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged corruption and looting of recovered loot.
Malami in his memo to the president recommended the sack of the EFCC chairman and also recommended some persons to replace the EFCC boss.
Malami alleged accounting default or discrepancies of figures concerning the recovered assets, claiming that Magu was not transparent enough in the management of recovered assets and or loot.
From the look of things, the office of the Attorney General of the Federation is in acting supervisory over the commission headed by Magu which means the EFCC chairman job may be at stake.
There are unconfirmed reports that Magu claimed to have recovered N504 billion, Â but lodged N543 billion in the Recovery Account with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), N39 billion more than he declared.
Magu overpaid recovered loot into the FG account and Malami believes there is much more from where it came.
According to public comment, a Magu-Malami clash will be an insult to the federal government. While Malami has proof that Magu May have been pocketing recovered loot, Magu most likely has records of people Malami or his friends asked him to stop investigating.
This call out scenario gives credence to the theory that this government may not be corruption free.
As it stands Magu is tracing fraudsters and looters and Malami is tracing Magu for Recovered Loots.

Buhari’s Men of Integrity will be dragging themselves openly for corruption charges. Malami is already throwing tantrums but Magu is yet to respond.
Magu (EFCC Chairman) has a case with EFCC.
