Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League this season.
Addressing the English media ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Thursday night, Guardiola said he loved the way Arsenal played against Newcastle on Wednesday night despite that the Gunners dropped two points.
City are eight points behind Arsenal in the league table but could close the gap to just five points if they beat struggling Graham Potter’s Chelsea on Thursday.
Guardiola said he watched Mikel Arteta’s side’s 0-0 draw with the Magpies and that he is hoping their performance levels drop.
“The way [Arsenal] played against Newcastle again impressed me a lot,” Guardiola said.
‘They dropped two points but they didn’t drop the quality [with which] they played.
“People say, ‘Ah, yes, you are…’ Yes, we are, but with Arsenal winning all their games and you are seven or eight points behind… [Arsenal winning the title] can happen.”
