Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire on Friday sent a welcome message to the club’s latest signing, Jack Butland.
Manchester United had earlier on Friday morning announced the signing of Butland from Premier League rival Crystal Palace,
The 29-year-old England shot-stopper joined the Red Devils on a six-month loan deal.
Man United manager Erik ten Hag has been eager to provide backup for first-choice goalkeeper David de Gea after Martin Dubravka was recalled from his loan by Newcastle United.
Butland has not made an appearance for Crystal Palace this season but joins Ten Hag’s group of goalkeepers.
In a tweet via his Twitter handle, Butland wrote after completing his move to Old Trafford: “Massive club. Massive opportunity. Can’t wait to get started.”
And responding to Butland’s tweet, Maguire welcomed the goalkeeper to Man United as he responded: “Welcome mate (handshake).”
