Manchester United captain, Harry Maguire has made a decision not to quit the club, insisting he will ‘keep fighting’ for his place.
The defender has been recently linked with a move away from Old Trafford after losing his place in Erik ten Hag’s starting XI.
The 29-year-old has started just four games in the Premier League so far and this led to club legend, Rio Ferdinand urging him to leave the club.
Ferdinand felt the England international had been ‘disrespected’ by Ten Hag, who prefered to play left-back Luke Shaw in central defence over Maguire on two occasions after the World Cup break.
But Maguire is adamant that he will continue his push to convince Ten Hag.
“We have a lot of good centre halves at this club, there’s a lot of competition for places and I’ll keep fighting,” he told Sky Sports.
