Chelsea legend, Pat Nevin, has revealed that his heart broke when one of the best players on the planet, Antonio Rudiger, left Chelsea last summer transfer window.
Nevin stated this while speaking on the issues Chelsea manager Graham Potter faces ahead of their Premier League tie with Fulham on Thursday night.
Recall that Rudiger left Chelsea last summer to join La Liga champions Real Madrid.
“The injuries don’t help him, but the problems run deeper than that,” Nevin was quoted by Metro UK as saying.
“My heart broke when Antonio Rudiger left in the summer because he is such a brilliant defender, one of the best you will get. One of the best on the planet.
He added, “To lose him was gigantic. That said, defence is not the problem for Graham Potter. It’s the creation of goals and chances.”
