Arsenal legend Ian Wright has told Chelsea Chairman, Todd Boehly to sign Joao Felix on a permanent deal from Atletico Madrid.
He backed Felix, who is currently on loan at Stamford Bridge, to emulate Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes in the Premier League.
Felix moved to Stamford Bridge last week and will spend the rest of the season with the Blues
The Portugal international was impressive for Chelsea in his first game for Graham Potter’s side against Fulham but was shown a straight red card for a reckless challenge.
Felix’s compatriot Fernandes has excelled at Old Trafford following a January move from Sporting Lisbon in 2020.
“When I watched Joao Felix, honestly he was exhilarating. I wouldn’t be too worried by the red card,” Wright said on the Ringer FC podcast.
“Todd, send the money now! He could have scored a hat-trick against Fulham.
“If he continues like that, we’re looking at a Bruno Fernandes introduction to the Premier League.”
