British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has lashed out at former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville after he backed the Red Devils to finish ahead of Arsenal in the Premier League this season.

Morgan, a passionate Arsenal fan, has bet £5000 that the Gunners would finish above Man United at the end of the season.

Arsenal and Manchester United have been in excellent form lately.

Mikel Arteta’s side defeated Premier League North London rival Tottenham Hotspur over the weekend, while Man United won 2-1 against Manchester City.

Neville had told Martin Tyler that he does not expect Arsenal, who are currently eight points ahead of second-placed Man City, to win the league, adding that Man United will finish above Arsenal.

“No. Manchester City will win the league, and Manchester United will finish second,” Neville said.

Responding to Neville’s comments, Morgan, in a tweet, via his Twitter handle, wrote: “

“Pipe down T-Bag. I bet you £5000 to charity that Arsenal finishes higher in the League than Utd,” Morgan tweeted.
