Former Manchester United forward, Garth Crooks, has heaped praises on Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard for his performance in the Gunners’ Premier League derby 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Odegaard played a key role as he scored a goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Tottenham over the weekend.
The former Real Madrid star has been instrumental in the Gunners’ pursuit of their first Premier League title since 2004.
“I have been singing the praises of Martin Odegaard for quite some time this season. I’ve also watched him grow into a first-class player and lead Arsenal to the top of the Premier League. His performance against Spurs was another display of the highest quality,” Crooks said (via BBC Sport).
He added, “His goal was well struck and put the game well beyond Tottenham’s capabilities. That said, you’d expect a decent goalkeeper to save a shot hit from that distance, but Hugo Lloris hasn’t been decent for some considerable time.”
