Erik Ten Hag has opened up on Manchester United players’ frustration with the club’s big money signing, Antony.
Addressing a press conference ahead of Manchester United Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Nottingham Forest, Ten Hag did not deny the fight between Bruno Fernandes and Antony.
Antony was seen in a heated exchange with Fernandes during the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace last Wednesday as most United players reportedly feel the Brazilian is only dragging them backwards with his style of football.
Following their 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the winger, many pundits and fans of the Red Devils have called for the player to be dropped from the starting XI.
Ten Hag told the press, “I think that can happen. They are both players who play with heart and, when they bring that in the game, they are at their best so it’s always a kind of balance.
“And always between players, sometimes emotions flare up but I think, in the second moment, they are already good with each other so that is not a problem. I think the players are definitely not frustrated with him.”
