Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has reacted to his side’s FA Cup fourth round defeat to Manchester City on Friday night.
Nathan Ake scored the only goal of the night to send Pep Guardiola’s side to the next round of the competition while the Gunners crashed out.
Arsenal are five points clear of Manchester City in the Premier League table, but have failed to beat their title contenders in their first meeting of the season.
Arteta told ITV that they are disappointed by the defeat but insisted Arsenal deserved more from the game.
“Unfortunately we are out,” the Spaniard said.
“We had quite a lot of control in the second half and we had big situations, we didn’t put them away and in those games you need to do that.
“I think the way we approached the game and the way we competed in the game was really good because it’s very tough to do that against this incredible team and we played face-to-face with them,” he said.
