Arsenal striker, Eddie Nketiah has hit out at Mikel Arteta’s men following their recent Premier League 1-0 defeat against Everton over the weekend.

Nketiah said Arsenal players were a bit sloppy against Everton at Goodison Park.

Recall that James Tarkowski’s second-half header gave Everton the victory over the Gunners.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Nketiah also admitted it was a ‘disappointing’ afternoon for Arsenal against the Toffees.

He, however, believes the setback will derail Arsenal’s title challenge and expects the Premier League leaders to return to winning ways against Brentford next weekend.

“It was a difficult game,” Nketiah said.

“They made it very tough.

“Personally, we were not at the standard we needed to be at today and we have got to improve and make sure we bounce back in our next game.

“Credit to them, they put out a good game plan and executed it well today. I felt like we just did not execute ours to the best of our ability, we were a bit sloppy at times.

“Everyone is disappointed, of course. Hopefully, we can reward them with three points on Saturday,” he added.
