Former Chelsea midfielder, Andy Townsend, has named Reece James and Thiago Silva as the Blues’ two best players this season under their manager Graham Potter.

Townsend believes both Silva and James are miles better than the rest of their Chelsea teammates this campaign.

“He’s [Graham Potter] got a lot of what I would say are very good players, he has not got too many great ones for me. His best player is his right-back and Thiago Silva,” Townsend told talkSPORT.

He added, “Reece James and Thiago Silva I think, are the best players by a distance.

“It is very early for Enzo Fernandez but again, we still don’t know whether or not he is going to be a rip-roaring success. We think he might, but we really don’t know.”
