Arsenal legend Paul Merson has stated that Chelsea’s new signing, Mykhailo Mudryk has ‘shown nothing’ since arriving at Stamford Bridge for €100 million (£88.5m) in January.
Chelsea were said to have hijacked the Ukrainian when it appeared he was on his way to Arsenal during the January transfer window.
After making an impressive cameo against Liverpool in his debut for the Blues, the 22-year-old has yet to register a goal or an assist in five appearances.
And Arsenal legend Merson is of the opinion that the Ukrainian should be firing on all cylinders for the price Chelsea paid to bring him to London.
“They brought Mykhailo Mudryk for £88m and, bar a cameo of 20 minutes, he’s shown nothing. I mean nothing,” he told Sky Sports
“You wouldn’t expect to need time to settle in at that price.”
