Lobi Stars striker, Joseph Atule said Enugu Rangers were the toughest opponent his side faced in the first stanza of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
The Makurdi club defeated Rangers 1-0 when they met on matchday two with Atule scoring the decisive goal.
Atule stressed that though the game was tough, he can’t wait to face them in the return leg.
“Rangers were the toughest opponent for us in the first stanza of the league,” Atule begins in a chat with DAILY POST.
“Thank God we snatched the maximum point but can’t wait to face them again in the second stanza.”
Lobi Stars FC will travel to the Awka City Stadium to face Enugu Rangers FC in April for the second leg.
Lobi Stars currently occupy top spot on the Group B table.
