Arsenal legend, Ian Wright, has hailed the club’s January signing, Leandro Trossard, for his performance against Fulham in Sunday’s Premier League 3-0 win.
Wright said that Trossard, who moved to Emirates Stadium from Brighton in January, is a blessing to Arsenal’s squad, adding that his addition to Mikel Arteta’s team is unbelievable.
Trossard registered a hat-trick of assists in the first half during Arsenal’s Premier League win over Fulham.
The Belgian set up the likes of Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard on the scoresheet for the Gunners.
“Since he has [Trossard] come, he has contributed right from the off, They could not get near him, in his movement, whether he came in from the left or he came from the centre. He can get himself in this position (goalscoring positions) and not panic,” Wright told Premier League Production.
“When you consider the signings we were trying to make and we ended up getting someone like Trossard, it was a blessing. He has come into the team, and he has hit the ground running.
“When you’ve a player of that calibre, who is a very, very good player. To get a signing like that, who can come in and be up to speed, is invaluable to us. He’s shown that from the first game until now. He has been an unbelievable addition to the squad,” he added.
