Chelsea have held talks over a deal to sign goalkeeper Gregor Kobel from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
Kobel has impressed for Dortmund since joining the club from Stuttgart for €15 million in 2021.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are set to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer, with Edouard Mendy’s future at Stamford Bridge looking increasingly uncertain.
Mendy rejected Chelsea’s offer of a new contract earlier this season, and the Blues are willing to offload him in the summer.
According to Sport1, Chelsea are keen on a move for Kobel this summer transfer window, but they face competition from Manchester United for the 25-year-old.
The report added that Chelsea held talks with Kobel’s representative [agent] in London before Dortmund’s Champions League defeat at Stamford Bridge last week in a bid to bring the Switzerland international to the west London club.
