Frank Lampard and Steven Gerrard could go head-to-head for their next job in management.
According to the UK Mirror, Lee Carsley could leave his role with the under-21s boss this summer.
Carsley’s exit could open the door for one of England’s golden generation to come into the coaching set-up.
The Football Association could then sound out Lampard, Gerrard and Scott Parker.
They have all had mixed fortunes in club management, the FA is determined to get them into the England set-up.
The current England boss Gareth Southgate followed a similar path and that has worked out well for him.
Gerrard and Lampard are both out of work after getting sacked at Aston Villa and Everton respectively.
Parker too was recently fired by Club Brugge after winning only two of his 12 games at the helm.
