Former Bayern Munich and Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves has highlighted the threat of Napoli to Manchester City in the Champions League semi-finals draw.
The former England midfielder believes that the Italian Serie A leaders could go all the way to win the Champions League this season.
Owen believes that Napoli is one the Citizens should be praying to avoid in the draw on Friday.
Manchester City beat German side, RB Leipzig 7-0 (8-1 on aggregate) on Tuesday to move to the quarter finals with Erling Haaland scoring five goals in one game and breaking several records in the process.
And Owen, who also represented Manchester City during his playing days, said that Pep Guardiola’s side would not have to worry about the likes of Benfica, Inter or AC Milan if they play the way they did against Leipzig on Tuesday.
“If they [City] play like that they don’t need to worry about anybody else. They don’t need to worry about Benfica or AC Milan or Inter,” Owen said on BT Sport.
“The most underrated side I would say is Napoli. When they get it right they’re a threat. They’d give City a game.
“They’re one of the best teams in Europe this season, one of the top scorers, they play beautiful football.
“If you’re not putting any respect on the name then you need to go and watch them because they’re the real deal. Seriously, they could win the Champions League.
