Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has said Eddie Nketiah has a “big challenge ahead of him” as he recovers from an ankle injury.
Nketiah has not played for the Gunners since limping off following the 4-0 win against Everton on March 1.
The striker had been managing an ankle problem before the game, but aggravated it further in the final minutes of that game at the Emirates.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s Europa League round of 16 second leg against Sporting on Thursday, Arteta said: “He’s still in the boot and still a few weeks away. We need to be patient.
“It was a nasty injury and he has a big challenge ahead of him. Thank God it could have been worse. So he’s not in a bad place.”
