Former Premier League goal king Thierry Henry has told Manchester United to prioritise the signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham over Napoli’s Victor Osimhen.
The England captain and the Nigeria international are heavily linked to Manchester United.
The 29-year-old Kane and Osimhen (24) are two of the best strikers in the world right now, with both enjoying stellar seasons.
Nobody doubts Kane’s abilities, while Osimhen has scored 23 goals and provided five assists in just 28 games this season.
The Nigerian has also helped the Italian club reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the first time in their history, scoring twice against Frankfurt on Wednesday night in a 3-0 (5-0 on aggregate) win.
“Personally, if I’m Man United, I go for Kane because he knows the Premier League,” the World Cup winner told CBS Sports.
“Looking at Kane, this guy doesn’t need to adapt to anything.
“Kane can play anywhere; he can adapt to any team – well, except Arsenal!
“That doesn’t mean Osimhen is not a good player, it has nothing to do with that. He can adapt to a lot of sides and any league.
“When you play for a team like Napoli, everything comes to him. But it’s a different ball game when you play in a front three.
Henry said that he wants to see how Osihmen will react when he is not the only focal point at a big club but is playing alongside a forward.
The former France international, however, said that the Nigerian forward “Is everything,” on the pitch.
“He can hold the ball up well, he can run into the channel, he can finish well with his head, with his foot,” the former Premier League winner said.
