Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta faces an anxious wait to discover if William Saliba will be fit and available for their Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Saliba was forced off during the Gunners’ Europa League last-16 defeat to Sporting Lisbon on Thursday with a back issue.

His substitution came after Takehiro Tomiyasu was forced off with a knee injury and left the Emirates Stadium on crutches.

Gabriel Magalhaes, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Leandro Trossard all suffered knocks during the game too.

However, the good news is that that trio are winning the race to be fit for the Palace fixture.

While Tomiyasu is definitely out, Saliba will be assessed on Sunday morning before a decision is made about the Frenchman.
