Crystal Palace has named the coach to oversee their Premier League game against Arsenal this weekend following the sack of Patrick Vieira on Friday.
According to talkSPORT, the club’s former captain, Paddy McCarthy will be in charge of their trip to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
The club announced that McCarthy, who is the current Under-21 coach, will be joined by U21s assistant coach Darren Powell when they visit the league leaders.
Goalkeeping coach, Dean Kiely, who was not among Vieira coaching staff dismissed alongside the Frenchman, will also make the trip.
McCarthy led first-team training on Friday morning but Palace have released no further news about who might succeed Vieira on a more permanent basis after the international break.
