Chelsea legend, Pat Nevin, has hailed Alex Iwobi for his display in the first half of Everton’s Premier League 2-2 draw against the Blues on Saturday.
Nevin said that Iwobi stood out during the encounter at Stamford Bridge, adding that his physicality and pace helped Everton against Chelsea.
Iwobi was impressive as goals from Joao Felix, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Ellis Simms, and Kai Havertz ensured both teams drew.
“At the moment [first-half], the player who is standing out for me for Everton is Alex Iwobi. Really really impressive,” Nevin said on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra.
“Over on the right-hand side, he has had to do all of the defending, but his physicality and pace have really helped the team so far.”
