Former Manchester United midfielder, Owen Hargreaves handed his former club three signings to make in order to compete for the English Premier League, EPL, title next season.

Man United are currently in the third position on the Premier League table this season behind leaders Arsenal and second position Manchester City.

But Hargreaves believes Man United need to sign a striker, a midfielder and a defender that will provide depth.

“It’s hard to go from third or fourth to win the title,” Hargreaves said on BT Sport about Man United.

“You have to steadily climb, as we have seen in the past. I think goal scoring has been one of their biggest issues, they are 20 odd goals behind the top teams.

“But I do think they [Man United] need depth, at the top of the pitch, in midfield and maybe in defence. To get three important players would make a huge difference to help bridge the gap.”
