Former Manchester United striker, Robin van Persie, has lavished praise on the club’s two youngsters, Alejandro Garnacho and Tyrell Malacia, for their displays for Erik ten Hag’s side this season.
Garnacho, who has scored four goals and provided five assists in 29 appearances for Man United’s first-team, has often been used as a substitute this term and has made an impact with his directness.
Malacia, meanwhile, was a regular fixture at left-back at the start of the season and has since been a capable understudy for defender Luke Shaw.
Speaking about Garnacho, Van Persie said (via Manchester Evening News): “Garnacho is one to watch, you know he’s still very young, a very talented player. If you look at how he handles difficult situations, how he handles pressure, how he creates, for his age, it’s very special.”
On Malacia, the former Arsenal attacker added, “Tyrell Malacia, I used to play with him at Feyenoord and I am really proud of him. The way he does it, the way he plays, it is a great example for young talents.”
