Chelsea boss, Graham Potter, has identified midfielder Conor Gallagher as the Blues player who is ‘unlucky’ in his team.
Potter said that Gallagher would be rightly frustrated over his lack of starts for Chelsea.
He stated this following Chelsea’s Premier League 2-2 draw with Everton on Saturday.
Gallagher, who came off the bench against Everton, has not started in Chelsea’s last eight games and his last six appearances have all been as a second-half substitute.
“If he doesn’t start then there’s the chance he can be the first change,” Potter said at his post-match press conference.
“We used Kova and Enzo in midfield, that’s a tactical decision, and the front three at Kai, Joao and Pulisic, they are more dribblers.
“Conor has been unlucky because whenever he comes on, he’s done really well.
“He will be frustrated and rightly so but we think the world of him. He is a fantastic team player.”
