Former Barcelona and England star, Gary Lineker has said that Arsenal star, Bukayo Saka deserved the player of the season award.
Lineker made the claim after the England international scored twice on Sunday to belp Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League.
Saka also set up Gabriel Martinelli for the Gunners first goal before scoring two himself either side of Granit Xhaka’s goal.
The 21 year-old has been one of Arsenal’s key players this season, alongside the likes of Martin Odegaard and Thomas Partey.
“What a player, who, if we voted tomorrow, would get my vote for footballer of the year (yes, as a member of the Football Writers’ Association I do get a vote).” he said on Match of the Day.
Saka has netted 12 times and assisted 10 in 28 league games so far this season.
