Rivers United forward Nyima Nwagua has reflected on Rivers United’s hard-earned victory against Rangers on Wednesday.
Stanley Eguma’s side won the Nigeria Premier Football League rescheduled matchday 10 encounter 1-0.
Nwagua scored the all-important goal in the 63rd minute after he was set up by Ghanaian midfielder, Paul Acquah.
“Our victory against Rangers FC was a difficult one for us. They really made things for difficult for us,” Nwagua told DAILY POST.
“We have really worked hard in training this season. The schedule has been tough, but we are coping well with the situation.”
Rivers United stayed in second position on the Group B table with 18 points, one point behind leaders Lobi Stars.
The Port Harcourt club will host Abia Warriors on Sunday, March 26, as the second stanza of the season Football Club takes center stage.
