Former Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has hailed the club’s midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer, saying the Austrian now plays ‘with more confidence’ since joining Erik ten Hag’s side.
Rangnick, who left Manchester United to coach Austria national team, said this after the midfielder scored twice and provided an assist for his national side in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Sabitzer moved to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich in January to provide cover for Christian Eriksen following his ankle injury.
He scored his first goal for the Red devils against Fulham before the international break and continued that goal scoring form with two goals in Austria’s 4-1 win over Azerbaijan on Friday.
Rangnick told reporters, “He has a lot more confidence than when he was at Bayern.
“Nobody dropped out in this game, but of course you can say that Sabi was the different player after scoring two goals and preparing one.”
