Saudi Pro league side, Al-Nassr hailed their superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo as the 38-year-old shone in Portugal’s 6-0 thumping of Luxembourg in the Euro 2024 qualifying match on Sunday.
It was the second brace for Ronaldo in two games for the 5-time Ballon d’Or winner, who opened the scoring in the ninth minute, with a left-footed finish from close range.
Chelsea’s Joao Felix scored six minutes later and Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva made it three before Ronaldo scored his second on the night through a pass from his former Manchester United teammate Bruno Fernandes.
Ronaldo has now scored 122 international goals in 198 appearances for Portugal.
His club side took to social media to send a stunning message to the attacker.
“Most capped player in international football – 198 games. Player with most goals in football history – 832 goals. He’s not following Records. Records are following him,” it said.
