Chelsea have identified recently sacked manager Julian Nagelsmann as the possible replacement for under-performing Graham Potter.

The Blues now want to rival Tottenham to appoint the former Bayern Munich man in the summer if Potter fails to meet their expectations.

Tottenham want to appoint Nagelsmann as a replacement for recently sacked Antonio Conte.

But the 35-year-old, also wanted by Real Madrid – has now been shortlisted by Chelsea, despite recently ruling out sacking Potter, Sky in Germany reports.

Potter left Brighton for Chelsea in September after the sack of Tuchel but the Blues have endured an abysmal season, sitting 10th in the Premier League table.

Their terrible 2022-23 campaign comes despite the club spending over £600m on players since the summer, when Todd Boehly took over from previous owner Roman Abramovich.
