Arsenal striker, Gabriel Jesus has said he was ‘disappointed’ by the manager, Mikel Arteta’s decision to sub him off in the 60th minute of their 4-1 win over Leeds United on Saturday.
It was Jesus’ first Premier League game start for the Gunners since the Qatar World Cup in November.
He has now recovered fully from the knee injury that he suffered at the World Cup and is ready to help the Gunners claim their first Premier League since 2004.
Jesus put the Gunners in front from the penalty spot in the first half, his first goal in 17 games for club and country.
The former Manchester City man then scored his second from close range.
Mikel Arteta then decided to end his afternoon prematurely and Jesus was slightly disgruntled.
“When the referee came and said you’re going out I was a little bit disappointed because I want to play.
“But of course, I respect the mister and respect the other players as well.”
