Real Madrid President, Florentino Perez, has reportedly identified the next manager that would take over from manager Carlo Ancelotti should the Italian leave Santiago Bernabeu.
Ancelotti’s future as Real Madrid manager is far from concern at present.
His team is all but out of the La Liga title race this season, with Barcelona now 12 points clear after defeat in El Clasico just before the international break.
Ancelotti could leave Los Blancos on his own accord, having been tipped as the next head coach of the Brazil national team.
However, Perez already has Ancelotti’s replacement in mind.
And according to TyC Sports (via MD), former Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is Perez’s choice to take over from Ancelotti should he leave the Spanish La Liga champions this summer.
Pochettino has been out of work since leaving PSG at the end of the last season.
