Recently sacked Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has taken a decision over a possible move to Chelsea.
The German is one of the shortlisted managers to take over at Chelsea if they decide to sack Graham Potter.
Nagelsman was sacked by Bayern Munich last week and replaced by former Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel.
But now reports in Germany said the young manager is unlikely to return to management this season.
Potter’s future at Stamford Bridge was plunged into further doubt after the Blues fell to a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday.
Potter is facing criticism for his tactics and team selection for the game.
Sky Germany reports that Nagelsmann is on Chelsea’s radar and that the German doesn’t want to join Tottenham who sacked Antonio Conte last week.
It said the 35-year-old is ‘unlikely’ to take on a new job straight away.
