Georgina Rodriguez, the girlfriend of Al-Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has made an honest confession about what she has been experiencing in their new life in Saudi Arabia.
Despite Saudi Arabia’s poor human rights record, Georgina admits she loves where she now lives with her children and Ronaldo, adding that the Middle-East country treats women well.
Recall that Ronaldo left Manchester United on mutual consent last November to join the Saudi Professional League, SPL club, Al-Nassr.
When asked how she was adapting to life in Riyadh, where she and her family first lived in a skyscraper hotel before they moved to their first proper Middle Eastern home, Georgina told El Hormiguero: “It is a marvellous country.
“I have to admit I went there very conditioned by what people say about it and what you hear, but it is a very safe country, a real family place and they really look after women and their children.
“People are very generous and really thoughtful.
“A girlfriend of mine came to visit and was in a hotel and they had not left her any water. As it was very expensive, she went to a call centre, but her card was not working and she did not have any local currency.
“A man ended up inviting her to a bottle of water. The people are very kind and very thoughtful.”
Georgina and Ronaldo met in the Spanish capital back in 2016 when the Portugal captain was playing for Real Madrid.
The couple has two children together: a daughter, Alana Martina, who was born in Nov. 2017, and a baby daughter, born in April 2022.
Tragically, they lost a baby boy during the birth in 2022.
