Obioma, Imade caged
The two top scorers’ in the league this season, Chukwuemeka Obioma and Imade Osehenkhoe failed to score for the first time in the second stanza on Sunday.
Obioma fired blanks in Enyimba’s 1-0 defeat to Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Imade was also stopped as Bendel Insurance battled to a 1-1 draw against Plateau United at the New Jos Stadium.
Bala Nikyu joins the managerial casualty
Former Super Falcons coach, Bala Nikyu joined the list of coaches, who have lost their job this season.
Nikyu’s four year reign in charge of Nasarawa United came to an end after the Solid Miners 2-1 home defeat to El-Kanemi.
The gaffer left his post immediately after the game.
Enyimba slump again
The eight-time champions extended their winless streak to three games after going to a 1-0 defeat against Akwa United in Uyo on Sunday.
