Former Barcelona boss, Luis Enrique, is travelling to London with his agent Ivan De La Pena to hold further talks with Chelsea after impressing the club’s hierarchy in initial discussions.
Chelsea are currently searching for a new manager to permanently succeed Graham Potter after sacking the Englishman last Sunday.
However, according to The Independent, Enrique, who is keen to take over now at Stamford Bridge, is edging ahead as the favourite to succeed Potter at the West London club and is en route to London to hold face-to-face talks with the Blues’ board.
The former Spain head coach, who is being joined by De La Pena, impressed in initial talks and is said to have ‘successfully sold a clear vision for the team’.
Apart from Erinque, Chelsea had also contacted former Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann.
