Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has highlighted the difference between Erling Haaland and big names in football like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Haaland scored his 30th goal in the Premier League this season, as City hammered Southampton 4-1 on Saturday.
The brace took the 22-year-old’s tally for the campaign to 44 goals.
Messi and Ronaldo have over 800 career goals each and are still playing into their late thirties.
Guardiola has now warned Haaland that he has a long way to go to match the two greats.
“I think Messi is a more complete player. He can play wherever because he understands the game.
“The other two, Cristiano and Haaland, are like a machine. But Erling knows the other two guys have dominated for two decades, not just one year,” Guardiola said.
