Former Liverpool midfielder, Don Hutchison has said that Victor Osimhen is a priority for the Premier League giants.
According to him, the Reds cannot sign Napoli’s Victor Osimhen in the summer.
He said the Reds are prioritizing the capture of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, who would be given the legendary Steven Gerrard’s armband and the No.8 shirt.
Bellingham has been heavily linked with a move out of Borussia Dortmund, with several high profile clubs interested in the 19-year-old.
According to Marca, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool have all made offers for Bellingham.
The England international could be going for 150 million euros – same transfer fee Napoli are demanding for Osimhen.
Osimhen has emerged as one of the hottest strikers in the World this season, netting 25 times in 29 all-competition appearances as the Serie A giants are set to win the title this season and are in the Champions League quarter finals.
Hutchison told ESPN FC: “Liverpool are putting all their eggs in the Bellingham basket by giving him the number 8, Steven Gerrard armband.
“I don’t think they can sell Steven Gerrard number 8 and give it to Osimhen. Don’t think that will quite work.”
