Arsenal forward Gabriel Jesus has revealed how he was convinced to leave Manchester City to join the Gunners last summer.
Jesus said he had serious doubts about dumping the Premier League champions for Arsenal.
The striker moved to the Emirates in a £45 million move from the Etihad in the summer of 2022 despite interest from Real Madrid and Chelsea.
Jesus recently returned to action after missing three months of the season with a knee injury.
Not many could boldly say the Gunners would be challenging for the title after finishing fifth last season.
The Brazilian said that Arsenal director of football Edu and manager Mikel Arteta convinced him to join.
“I had a very good and important chat with Edu,” said Jesus, according to Metro.
“I was in doubt [about signing]. But, after I talked to him (Edu) and Mikel (Arteta), the job was done.”
