Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale said it was his saves that rescued Arsenal at Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday.
The game between the two Premier League giants ended in a 2-2 draw with the England goalkeeper making some crucial late saves to deny the home side victory.
Ramsdale made two stunning saves in added time to deny the Reds taking a late 3-2 lead.
Gabriel Martinelli put Arsenal in front and Gabriel Jesus made it two for the visitors all in the first half. But Jurgen Klopp’s side pulled one back through Mohamed Salah.
It could have been a very sad day for Arsenal were it not for Ramsdale who managed to keep out Salah’s 95th-minute strike after it took a deflection.
A minute later, the England international denied Ibrahima Konate from three yards.
“They’re a top side. It might be two points dropped but we could have dropped three,” he told Sky Sports.
“There’s no better game to play in than these games. At least my saves have helped us out!
“I thought we were excellent. For 50 to 60 minutes, we were very good, but we got unlocked by two goals.”
