Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag has confirmed that Marcus Rashford will miss their Europa League quarter-final on Thursday against Sevilla and “a few games” due to a muscle injury.
However, he is expected to be back for the season’s run-in.
Rashford limped off in the 80th minute of the 2-0 Premier League win over Everton on Saturday.
The 25-year-old was clutching his groin and immediately headed to the dressing room for treatment.
United have said the England international “will be unavailable for a few games but is expected to be back for the season run-in”.
Rashford has scored 28 goals in all competitions, helping the Red Devils land the Carabao Cup.
In his news conference ahead of the Sevill match, Ten Hag was asked if Rashford will return in time for the FA Cup semi-final against Brighton on April 22.
He said: “It’s a few games, that’s the statement. I can’t give more details because we don’t know. We have to see how the injury develops.”
