Manchester United midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer has said he could not find the right word to describe the team’s performance in their Europa League quarter final clash against Svilla on Thursday.
Sabitzer admitted that the team conceded stupid goals as Sevilla came from two goals down to hold Manchester United 2-2 at Old Trafford.
He expressed his disappointment after Erik ten Hag’s side gave up their 2-0 lead in front of their own supporters with Tyrell Malacia and Harry Maguire scoring two late own goals.
The Austrian midfielder, who is currently on loan at United from Bayern Munich, told BT Sport after the game, “I have problems finding the right words.
“In a competition like this, you have to be focused until the end, if not you can give the game away. Two stupid goals, that’s not what we wanted.”
Manchester United have won the Carabao Cup this season and are currently fourth in the Premier League table and are also in the FA Cup.
The Red Devils will play Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Sunday before traveling to Spain for the reverse fixture against Sevilla.
