Former England defender, Micah Richards has said next Wednesday’s Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal could be the game of the season.
Richards was speaking on Sunday, after the Gunners dropped more points in the title race, following a 2-2 draw at West Ham.
Mikel Arteta’s men are now four points ahead of City, who have played one less fixture.
Arsenal host Southampton before they travel to the Etihad and Richards and urged the table toppers not to become doubtful.
“It would be crazy if Mikel Arteta’s squad suddenly allowed doubts to consume them after all the outstanding progress they have made this season.
“Nothing has been decided and they absolutely have the ability to go to the Etihad on April 26 and come away with at least a point.
“It will be the game of the season, I’m convinced of it. There is no room for error for either side and I expect it will lead to fireworks,” Richards said.
