Liverpool legend, Jamie Carragher has slammed Ghana international, Thomas Partey over the midfielder’s performance in Arsenal’s 2-2 draw with West Ham on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s side watched on as the Premier League title gradually slipped off their fingers as they threw away an early two-goal lead against West Ham on Sunday.
It was their second draw in the Premier League within a week and Arsenal centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes was heavily criticised for committing a foul that gave West Ham their penalty in the first half.
However, Carragher feels someone else should also share the blame and believes Partey is also culpable for losing possession in the build up to Gabriel’s foul.
“Thomas Partey was really poor, I must say that,” told Sky Sports.
“You don’t try a trick like this, you shouldn’t even do it in training, trying to flick it past someone on the edge of your own box, again, it’s complacency.”
Carragher had earlier described the Ghanaian’s performance against West Ham as the worst he had ever seen him play.
