Former Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has warned former Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann against becoming Chelsea’s next permanent manager.
Rangnick said he could not recommend Nagelsmann or any other potential manager to go to Chelsea and replace the Blues caretaker boss Frank Lampard.
Chelsea are currently searching for a manager to replace Lampard at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.
Recall that Chelsea temporarily put Lampard in charge to take care of the first team after sacking Graham Potter a few weeks ago.
It was reported that Nagelsmann is the front-runner to take over from Lampard in the summer.
Apart from Nagelsmann, the likes of Luis Enrique, Mauricio Pochettino and Jose Mourinho are all linked with the Chelsea job.
“At the moment, no matter who comes as a coach, you can’t really recommend anyone to go there [Chelsea],” Rangnick told ZDF, as per BILD.
“The very first thing to do is establish some sort of strategy and reduce the squad to a reasonable size that any coach can work with.”
