Leicester City manager, Dean Smith believes Wilfred Ndidi has so much to offer his side following criticisms over the midfileder’s performance against Manchester City last weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the game at the Etihad Stadium 3-1.
Ndidi conceded a penalty for Manchester City’s second goal and lost the ball to Kevin de Bruyne in midfield for the third.
The Nigerian, who substituted in the second half was criticised by Leicester City faithfuls after the game.
Smith insisted that Ndidi remain a key player for the Foxes.
“But I like Wilf, I think he’s a really good player. He’s one that protects, and people sometimes miss the fact he defends our box really well aerially and physically. He can be a threat in the opposition box as well. There are many aspects to his game that can help us,” the former Aston Villa manager was quoted by Leicester mercury.
