Former Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelsmann, has taken a final decision not to take over from Chelsea caretaker manager Frank Lampard at the end of the season.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Nagelsmann, who has been heavily linked with a move to replace Lampard at Chelsea, has withdrawn from the race to become the Blues’ next permanent manager.
Recall that Chelsea temporarily put Lampard in charge of the first team until the end of the season after sacking Graham Potter earlier this month.
“Julian Nagelsmann has now withdrawn from the race to become the new Chelsea head coach — it looks like it’s his final decision,” Romano tweeted.
“German coach is said to be no longer available after multiple rounds of talks. Nagelsmann was top candidate for the job.”
